Delete your Scriptures with Friends account
You can request permanent deletion of your account and associated data without signing in or reinstalling the app. There is no charge.
Request account deletion
- Email support@scriptureswithfriends.org from the email address registered to your account.
- Use the subject Delete my Scriptures with Friends account and tell us you want your account and associated data deleted.
- We will reply to verify that you own the account before deleting it. Never send your password.
This button opens your email app; send the email to submit your request. If it does not open, copy the address and subject above into your email service. If you no longer have access to your registered email, contact the same address for help verifying ownership.
What we delete
Deletion permanently removes your account and the following associated data from our live systems:
- Your email address, profile name, password hash, and login sessions.
- Your study notes and responses, study history, plans, schedules, and scripture series you created.
- Your friend connections, invitations, and reactions.
- Your notification history, delivery records, device push tokens, and browser push subscriptions.
We also arrange deletion of account-linked data held by our service providers, where applicable. Content that other people have independently copied or received, such as emails already delivered to them, may remain with those people.
Timing and retained data
We normally complete deletion within one calendar month of receiving your request, after verifying ownership. If a legally permitted extension is necessary because a request is complex, we will explain the reason and expected completion date within that first month.
Residual copies in restricted backups may remain for up to 90 days after deletion from live systems. They are kept out of active use and expire through backup rotation. If a backup is restored, we reapply completed deletions before returning the data to active use.
If specific records must be retained for a legal obligation, security, or fraud prevention, we restrict their use and tell you what is retained, why, and for how long when responding to your request.
Uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account. You can keep using the app until deletion is completed; afterward, you will no longer be able to sign in to that account.
